Still no word, but she seems to be pretty regular with her gifts - both the real ones and the virtual ones!

This will teach me not to keep the window open. I needed a little help getting the stinger out because I couldn't reach it, but actually the ice pack seems to be helping. I think because now all I feel is how cold the back of my neck is!

and good deal on getting help for the stinger. they can be a real pain-in-the-neck otherwise. was it just a normal honey bee? or more of the yellowjacket or wasp variety? hopefully you won't have any lasting effects from it.

It was a honey bee. The part Quatre left out was that she was still buzzing around on the back of his neck because she couldn't get loose.

I'm trying to forget that part.

oh that would be bad! that happened to me once, but it was on the palm of my hand. the stinger had a little barb, like a fishing hook and didn't want to let go. cannot imagine that on the back of my neck where i couldn't even see it.

Tea tree oil would help the sting too, come to think of it, but you've probably had more remedies thrown at you than you can handle.

I have, but thanks. It's always good to stock up on something that has several uses, because you never know when you'll need it for one of them.

You can use tea tree oil for almost everything concerning the human body except ingestion, I'd think.

Just be careful if you're using it at 100% concentration, because the smell can really overpower you.

The first time I was stung by a wasp my finger turned 3 times its size. I complained a lot, but didn't cry... after all, I was 16 and waiting for my turn to shoot an M16 ^_^

an M16, mis? in like, the girl scouts?

*laughs* No, no girl scouts. When I was in Israel I volunteered a couple of weeks in the army and at the end of the program they let us shoot an M16. I learned to disarm it, and clean it too, and I built bunkers. But yeah, the shooting range was in the middle of the desert in a place filled with wasps, and that's when I got stung for the first time.
